Employee Health and Wellness

JR Katz works with its clients to conduct a thorough analysis to determine the appropriateness of wellness programs for a specific population. If appropriate, JR Katz assists in the development of a tailored wellness strategy with special emphasis on the efficacy and cost-effectiveness of potential alternatives.

Wellness Strategy Consulting

JR Katz works with its clients to perform an evaluation which includes assessing the appropriateness of a wellness strategy, identifying specific health risk characteristics, identifying the associated wellness tool/program, and quantifying projected return on investment (ROI).

Health Risk Assessments *

Health risk assessments allow employees (and spouses) to obtain a high level view of their health risk factors. Employers also receive an aggregate report which can be used as a beginning step in the development of a wellness strategy.

Onsite Biometric Screenings *

Onsite blood and health screenings provide employees a detailed view of their health risk factors. This data also provides employers even more information about the risk profile of their population to incorporate into their wellness strategy.

Predictive Modeling

Through JR Katz's intensive data mining and predictive modeling techniques, employers can risk stratify their population into several different risk categories. From this data, along with the onsite biometric screenings and health risk assessment, JR Katz can determine if a wellness program is appropriate and if so, how to design a program that yields the highest ROI.

Wellness Programs *

JR Katz offers a wide range of wellness programs to our clients including smoking cessation workshops, disease management, and personal wellness and lifestyle coaching.

Wellness Incentive Programs

Generating employee participation in wellness programs is critical. Once it has been determined that a wellness program is appropriate, JR Katz works with its clients to develop incentive programs including financial incentives and management buy-in campaigns.

Risk Stratification (pdf)

Does your firm have a wellness strategy? If so, have you risk stratified your employee population?

Not all wellness programs are an effective tool for all employers. Turnover, employee demographics, employee accessibility, etc., can minimize the intended benefits of wellness programs.

In addition to evaluating these factors, employers must also risk stratify their population by the type of healthcare services they use:

  • Catastrophic Care
  • Chronic Care
  • Acute Care
  • Routine Care

Through this process, we can determine if a wellness program is appropriate and if so, how to design a program that yields the highest ROI.
