
For over 30 years, Jordon has worked with clients regarding the complex issues of building, maintaining and transferring wealth. He focuses on assisting family-owned businesses create and conserve wealth. Jordon helps entrepreneurs address contingencies of building wealth both inside and outside of the businesses they manage or control and helps assure long-term success through the design and implementation of financing vehicles for effecting wealth transfer between family members and business parties. As the client's advocate, he facilitates the structuring and acquisition of the most appropriate insurance anchored financial solutions.
Jordon's experience allows him to positively impact the relationships that exist between business owners and their key employees by implementing programs to attract, retain and motivate them. By effectively allocating executive compensation resources, Jordon works closely with owners and management participants to craft enhancement programs designed to provide the opportunity to help build real long-term wealth.
His strategic philosophy has evolved from his academic background in finance and risk management from the University of Illinois, his studies leading to recognition as a Chartered Life Underwriter from the American College, numerous continuing professional education programs as both a participant and lecturer and from direct involvement in family and publicly owned businesses. Membership on the Board of Directors of HA-LO Industries, Inc. for seven years (1992-1999) provided Jordon a valuable experience in the transformation of an entrepreneurial environment into a publicly owned enterprise.
Contributing to community well-being is a cornerstone of the JR Katz culture. Jordon is the past President of the Jewish Community Centers (JCC) of Chicago, having served for almost twenty years on the JCC Board of Directors. He has also served on the Board of Trustees and was previously the Treasurer of Temple Am Shalom. Jordon is past Chairman of the Chicago chapter of the National Political Action Committee (NatPAC) and has been a recipient of the "Lion of Judah" award as Man of the Year by the Israel Bond Organization.
