Elissa Newman *

Elissa Newman is the Director of Life Operations at JR Katz which involves responsibility for three distinct areas. She oversees the evaluation of life insurance products and the preparation of estate plan financial modeling. Secondly, she is directly involved in the underwriting and implementation of large face life insurance policies. Finally, Elissa oversees the policy review staff and directs administrative IT systems.

Her 15 years of experience in these areas has uniquely equipped her to seize the opportunities presented by the premium finance market. Elissa has a thorough understanding of the wide variety of structures and transactions in this vibrant market. She has blended her product knowledge and underwriting acumen, much of it devoted to the impaired risk and elderly market, to develop a number of proprietary premium finance structures. She has worked with capital providers, actuaries and insurance carriers in an atmosphere of complete disclosure to produce transactions that return the greatest potential to the client while maintaining the financial position of the other parties.

Elissa received a B.S. in Political Science from the University of Illinois, Chicago and is a Registered Principal holding several NASD securities licenses.
